- ➤ Tyler ISD students earned national recognition on Saturday, Dec. 13 when two grand-prize winners in Optimum’s 18th annual Hispanic Heritage Month Essay Contest received $3,000 scholarships, while a Tyler Legacy student earned runner-up honors and extra prizes (an iPad and special flag). - ➤ Tyler now offers a free evening shuttle service downtown in partnership with Tyler Valet that provides fixed-route access with clear yellow signs at major stops. It will operate Thursdays from 6 to 10 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 7 to 11 p.m. CBS19
