- ➤ On November 14th, members of Newcomers and Friends of Tyler celebrated the club's 75th anniversary at First Christian Church with games, a meal and speeches. The all-women group, founded in 1950 and now with over 200 members, honored its legacy of building female friendships — and will continue holding monthly meetings. Tyler Morning Telegraph
- ➤ Over 50 Tyler men joined an annual brunch at III Palms and each brought $100—covering their meal cost and leaving the extra as a tip for the server. The event continues a local tradition aimed at spreading kindness. CBS19
- ➤ SPCA of East Texas faces potential funding cuts and is asking for support on Giving Tuesday—Executive Director Emily Heglund said public donations are essential to keep its services running. The organization needs the community’s help to avoid deep budget cuts—local supporters are encouraged to contribute. CBS19
- ➤ The Salvation Army in Tyler reported that 980 angel tags for children and seniors still need adopting before Dec. 6 to make their Christmas special—volunteers are also needed as gift distribution on Dec. 10 for seniors and Dec. 12 for children begins at Broadway Square Mall and Walmart Supercenters on South Broadway and in Lindale.
