- ➤ Tyler ISD's Early College High School was named a 2025 Lone Star Ribbon School by Gov. Greg Abbott, making it one of only 28 Texas campuses to earn this honor for strong academic progress. The district celebrated the achievement with an unveiling ceremony where district leaders, students and staff, along with Tyler Junior College representatives, highlighted the opportunity for students to earn college credit during high school—demonstrating the power of local educational partnerships. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The National Weather Service released damage surveys showing that an EF1 tornado hit northeast of Lindale on Tuesday afternoon with winds up to 100 mph, causing tree limb damage and roof loss to homes—while an EF1 tornado in Kilgore later that day damaged roofs on homes and businesses and snapped trees.
