- ➤ An Amazon facility off Highway 271 in Tyler held its official ribbon-cutting ceremony on October 28th—adding more than 100 new jobs and promising faster package delivery ahead of the holiday season. The facility had been operating for weeks before the ceremony. Tyler Morning Telegraph
- ➤ BBB Central East Texas has opened nominations for the 2026 BBB Awards for Excellence - a program that honors accredited businesses and charities showing trust and good service. - ➤ Local business news in Tyler shows several changes as Weird & Different postponed its planned closure at Broadway Square Mall to remain open through the holiday season, and Village Creamery will hold its grand opening this Thursday—while Grande Donuts & Cafe opened on Oct 9 and Soccer Tacos opened on Oct 16. Meanwhile, Lightbox Collective launched a new podcast studio at 110 W. - ➤ On Friday, October 24, a ceremony and luncheon at the Brodnax Family Crusader Center inducted Macy Chenevert—honored for her fight against cancer and lasting impact on Bishop Gorman athletics—and Steve and Becky Chenevert for their contributions to the annual memorial basketball tournament; Macy’s legacy is further celebrated with a plaque and her jersey on display at Haddad Gymnasium.
