- ➤ This weekend, East Texas will host many community events including Boo at the Zoo at the Caldwell Zoo in Tyler, a music and pumpkin decorating event at Bergfeld Park, and a Walk to End Alzheimer’s at UT Tyler Patriot Plaza. Other events include a Halloween Bar Crawl, TAG+ Boo Ball at W.T. Brookshire Conference Center, Parktober at Tyler State Park, Day of Remembrance at The Children’s Park, and local festivals and volunteer days — all set to bring fun and community support for families. - ➤ After a year without outdoor mini golf, the Tyler City Council approved a special use permit for Sandu Investments to build a putt-putt facility with concessions on 2.51 acres at 6110 South Broadway Ave. The facility—replacing the old Woodcreek Athletic Club building—will boost local entertainment and support the nearby retail area.
