Dr. Patch Adams spoke at the 12th annual Butterfly Hope Luncheon in Tyler last Thursday to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Alliance of Smith County, and about 400 (attendees) joined to support local programs for families facing dementia.

Executive director Bonnie Varner said the funds will stay in Smith County to help neighbors cope with the disease.
