- ➤ Dr. Patch Adams spoke at the 12th annual Butterfly Hope Luncheon in Tyler last Thursday to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Alliance of Smith County, and about 400 (attendees) joined to support local programs for families facing dementia. Executive director Bonnie Varner said the funds will stay in Smith County to help neighbors cope with the disease. Tyler Morning Telegraph

- ➤ East Texas Brewing Company hosted an Oktoberfest celebration where locals enjoyed cold pints and festive cheer— a lively event that brought community members together. CBS19
- ➤ ETX Brewing Co. celebrated its 9th Oktoberfest on Saturday in downtown Tyler—drawing large crowds with craft beer, food, music and contests that made the event a community tradition. Tyler Morning Telegraph
- ➤ Wild horse trainer Natalie Gordon thrilled fans at Branded Bonanza in Tyler on Saturday when she showcased her newly trained mustang Fritz, impressing the crowd with her skill and passion for wild horse management. The nonprofit Forever Branded partnered with the federal BLM to promote conservation and wild horse adoptions at the event. Tyler Morning Telegraph
