Good morning, Tyler.

Tyler businesses are expanding as new shops open and others undergo renovations.

Two Spirit Halloween stores will open this fall, Revelry Harbor boutique opened last Friday at Mosaic District, Hollywood Feed pet store will open Saturday, Village Creamery is under renovation next door to Village Bakery, and a fourth Jucys Hamburgers is set to begin construction around Aug. 15 with completion expected by mid-December.

Families in Tyler are struggling as rising grocery prices strain budgets for everyday essentials — residents are changing shopping habits to cope with higher food costs.

Smith County officials are wrapping up the 2026 budget and will present it to the county board soon to set spending plans for next year.
