- ➤ Tyler ISD students returned to class today and are eager to achieve their academic goals—district officials say the positive start will boost learning for the school year. CBS19

- ➤ Heavy rainfall today flooded Tyler roads—drivers experienced delays as local crews monitored rising water levels and urged caution. CBS19
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Tyler police have increased enforcement in school zones to help keep students safe during school hours—officers say new patrols will target speeding and distracted driving near schools. CBS19
- ➤ The City of Tyler has proposed a $219.3 million budget for fiscal year 2026 that focuses on investing in core services—such as water improvements, road repairs, and public safety—while lowering the property tax rate to its lowest in nearly a decade.
