  • Crews responded to a major pin-in crash at 10:45 a.m. today near the intersection of S. Broadway Ave and Ridgecrest Dr — just south of the U.S. Post Office and Rose Hill Cemetery — and details on injuries remain unknown.  CBS19

CRIME NEWS

  • A man was sentenced to 30 years in prison for plotting to kidnap and kill his ex-girlfriend in Tyler, authorities said.  CBS19
  • The Tyler Police Department warned senior residents about a phone scam in which callers impersonated law enforcement+ used fake arrest warrants and spoofed numbers to pressure victims into sending money for gift cards or depositing funds into cryptocurrency ATMs and connected them with a fake supervisor to make the threat seem real.  Tyler Morning Telegraph

EDUCATION NEWS

  • At its Monday night meeting, the Bullard ISD Board of Trustees approved administrative changes including Superintendent Dr. Jack Lee's resignation for his new role at Seguin ISD and appointed Jodi Albritton, Nanci Dixon and Monica Ventress to key district roles — marking a significant leadership shift. The board also received construction updates on the new Bullard Middle School, noting that exterior work is complete and interior tasks continue with an opening expected in January.  Tyler Morning Telegraph
