- ➤ TEGNA’s local news stations have set up the Texas Flood Relief Fund to accept donations for flash flood relief in Kerr County and nearby areas after deadly floods began on July 4—confirming 82 deaths and leaving 41 people unaccounted for. Donations will support local nonprofits that help first responders, residents, and families as search and rescue efforts continue. CBS19

- ➤ Tyler man Bryson Joe Jeffery admitted he threw, kicked, hit, and struck his dog with a surge protector power strip during the early morning hours of July 4—police booked him on an animal cruelty charge and took the injured dog to the Tyler Animal Shelter while the fate of the puppies remains under investigation.
