ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Eight firefighters from East Texas are aiding water rescues in the Texas Hill Country after five to ten inches of rain caused catastrophic flooding on Thursday—officials reported at least six deaths in Kerr County, and the Longview Fire Department sent two firefighters to Kerrville and six to Junction. - ➤ Two passengers on a boat that began sinking on Lake Palestine East on Saturday safely made it to shore using life jackets as game wardens and emergency crews responded to the partially submerged vessel about 30 yards from the docks behind Lakeway Harbor— the cause of the sinkage remains unknown. - ➤ Three people were hospitalized following a crash between a tanker truck and a passenger vehicle in the 16200 block of Hwy 271 near I-20 — emergency crews deployed multiple ambulances and a helicopter — while the tanker driver was uninjured. CBS19
