Good morning, Tyler.

Tyler Area Train Show returns this weekend after six years, featuring railroad displays and memorabilia.

Hosted by the Cotton Belt Rail Historical Society and Cotton Belt Depot Museum at TASCA Event Center (10495 County Rd 2167) in Whitehouse, the show runs 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Sunday.

Downtown Tyler is transforming as the $25.6 million Improvement Project marks one week of converting West Erwin, North College, and Spring streets to two-way traffic.

The city will add parking updates & install roundabouts as work continues toward a revitalized downtown by April 2028 and a courthouse opening in December.

Smith County approved June 12 as Celebrating Women Veterans Day in a Tuesday meeting at the courthouse annex in downtown Tyler, where commissioners reported that the 2026 Countywide Cleanup collected 274.58 tons of waste (over 1,000 vouchers were used), an increase from last year.
