- ➤ Eli Swinney, 19, of Troup, died in a boating accident on Lake Tyler over the weekend when he fell off a boat before 8 p.m. Sunday night—his funeral will be held on May 1 and a GoFundMe fundraiser was started to help cover his family's unexpected expenses as the Texas Game Warden's Office investigates the incident.
