  • At the Heart Gallery East Texas exhibit at Plaza Tower in downtown Tyler, children in foster care were featured until April 29 to encourage adoption. Aurora Price, a 14-year-old adopted teen and reigning Miss Texas Junior Teen, will compete nationally in Orlando this July and use her platform to promote teen adoption — highlighting the need for permanent, loving homes.  Tyler Morning Telegraph
  • Community leaders and guests gathered Monday for the groundbreaking at Starbrite Therapeutic Equestrian Center in Whitehouse—this state-of-the-art arena and barn will boost access to therapeutic equine activities, with groundwork ending in about six weeks and steel construction slated to begin in October, aiming to finish phase one by February.  Tyler Morning Telegraph

  • Malissa Teel, a second-shift line associate at Wayne-Sanderson Farms Tyler Complex, won a blue 2025 Hyundai Elantra in the United Way of Smith County raffle.
