- ➤ Families gathered Saturday at Northside RC Airpark for the second annual Go Fly a Kite Day hosted by Empowerment CDC to enjoy outdoor fun and learn about the local park—an event moved earlier since the national day fell on Easter Sunday. The day gave residents a chance to fly kites and explore a less-visited area of Tyler. Tyler Morning Telegraph
- ➤ On Saturday, the Junior League of Tyler hosted its 8th annual Touch-a-Truck event at Green Acres Baptist Church where children explored working vehicles like a patrol boat and a helicopter. Co-chair Chelci Townsend said the event—planned nearly a year in advance—connects kids with first responders and shows the League’s 75 years of service in Tyler. CBS19
- ➤ Tyler firefighters and police officers played a softball game at Faulkner Park to support a community cause—showing that the event meant more than friendly competition and bragging rights. CBS19

- ➤ Bullard ISD celebrated BHS senior Claire Fath who has been accepted to the United States Air Force Academy—she earned her nomination through Congressman Nathaniel Moran and chose the academy to follow her dream of becoming a pilot like her older cousins. CBS19

- ➤ Gregg County civil court received several new civil cases filed from March 31st to April 4th. The lawsuits (covering issues like breach of contract, damages and personal injury) were assigned to three divisions (the 188th and 124th District Courts and County Court at Law 2).
