Good morning, Tyler.

The SPCA of East Texas is asking local residents to open their homes as foster families for dogs and cats while its shelters remain full, with over 200 animals waiting for permanent care.

The nonprofit covers all food, supplies, and medical care during foster placements—fostering helps save lives until the animals can find forever homes.

Smith County officials warned Tyler-area residents that scammers are posing as law enforcement to demand money—authorities say no real agency will ever ask for payment and urge those reached to report suspicious calls.

Tyler police are seeking a suspect in an East Texas hit-and-run that killed a motorcyclist — the investigation is ongoing.

Historic Tyler on Tour is a guided event that will take residents through mid-century modern homes in Tyler (built in the mid-1900s) to showcase their unique design.
