- ➤ Senate Bill 1652, also known as the Ethical Pet Sales Bill, is under consideration by the Texas Legislature and will take effect on Sept. 1 if passed—prohibiting pet stores from selling puppies from large-scale breeding operations and requiring them to source animals from rescues and shelters. Tyler animal advocates support the bill—saying it will help end inhumane breeding practices. Tyler Morning Telegraph

- ➤ On Friday night the Bullard girls soccer team tied with Sunnyvale in a 4A Division Two regional semifinal game and went to penalty kicks – big saves helped the Panthers win. They will play Aubrey in the regional final. CBS19
