  • Women in Tyler hosted its annual luncheon on Thursday at Green Acres Baptist Church to honor seven community leaders for significant contributions as part of National Women’s Month—Mayor Don Warren presented a proclamation declaring Women in Tyler Day, and nominations for next year’s honorees are now open.  Tyler Morning Telegraph
  • Thursday saw the 26th annual Women in Tyler luncheon at Green Acres Baptist Church, where seven women were honored for their contributions. Vera Moore received the Judith K. Guthrie Legacy of Service Award and local residents were invited to nominate unsung heroes.  CBS19

  • Tyler Fine Art Gallery, an artist collective founded by Aaron Hinds, opened last summer at 117 W. Ferguson Street to showcase 11 local artists using a cost-sharing model while preserving historic building features.   • Brittany Mahomes was inducted into the UT Tyler Hall of Fame and announced an Adidas partnership for women’s soccer at the university campus, supporting local sports & boosting opportunities for the team.  CBS19

  • Magdaleno 'Junior' Jacquez, who received a life-saving liver transplant, met with the donor family at True Vine Brewing Company in Tyler on Thursday afternoon — he said the meeting honored their gift ahead of National Donate Life Month in April.  Tyler Morning Telegraph
  • Tyler liver transplant recipient Magdaleno Jacquez met his donor’s family on Thursday, forming an emotional reunion that honored the lifesaving gift which has helped over 70 people. Both families now share their experience to encourage discussion about organ donation.  CBS19
