- ➤ Texas leaders and fans paid tribute to Chuck Norris (86), known for Walker, Texas Ranger, who died Thursday morning in Hawaii after a medical emergency. Norris, known for his Lone Wolf Ranch in Navasota and school programs like Kickstart Kids, was honored for his lasting cultural impact. CBS19
- ➤ On Thursday, the city hosted a cash mob at the historic Carnegie Library to boost the local historical society and celebrate East Texas heritage. The society will partner with the East Texas Symphony Orchestra on April 23 at Liberty Hall for an event aimed at engaging future generations. CBS19
