  • The Caldwell Zoo in Tyler welcomed two baby Red-ruffed lemurs born on Valentine’s Day, marking its first-ever lemur birth. The new arrivals will be kept indoors for up to 90 days while staff monitors their health before adding them to the public exhibit.  Tyler Morning Telegraph

  • Tyler ISD Communications earned 19 statewide awards at the TSPRA Annual Conference in Galveston on Monday, March 2 — including one Best of Category, nine Gold Stars and nine Silver Stars.   • Over 130,000 families have applied to a school choice program that offers eligible students between $10K and $30K once private schools register statewide, setting a record turnout that includes local interest in Tyler.  CBS19
