- ➤ Smith County officials announced the passing of trailblazing former Judge Quincy Beavers Jr. — the county’s first Black judge — who served for decades and left a lasting impact on the legal community. Local leaders honored his legacy through heartfelt remembrances. CBS19
- ➤ Union Pacific Railroad cleared a long-established homeless encampment near downtown on Tuesday with police support to help residents access alternative housing. Crews removed the tents under Beckham Bridge, a site long known as Tent City. CBS19
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Bethesda Health Clinic announced Wednesday its public phase of the Greater Works Campaign at the old Hollywood Theater on West Loop and outlined a new 60,000 sqft clinic center (45,000 sqft for healthcare, 15,000 sqft for a HOPE Thrift Store) set to open in spring as fundraising nears its goal.
