ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Thursday, October 9, Judge Carey McKinney issued a seven-day burn ban in Anderson County due to persistent drought conditions that raised wildfire risks—residents are now barred from outdoor burning until the commissioners court extends or cancels the ban. Cherokee County also enacted a burn ban while Smith County, with a higher drought index, has not yet planned one. Tyler Morning Telegraph
